Matcha Scoop with Rest

A study in proportion and tapers.  Our goal was a delicate, long scoop with such proportions that it could be put into use or simple stand alone as an object of art.  We forged a deep grey, matte stainless steel to over emphasize the form.  The face of our rust marked anvil adds texture to the surface, making this piece one to feel with both your eyes and your fingers. To add a visual punctuation, we paired this scoop with a polished brass rest.  Country to city, perhaps.
